What does '0% commission' actually mean?

On paid tiers (Premium, Professional, Professional+), TutorStudio takes zero application fee on card payments. The standard card processing fee still applies, as it does everywhere. On the Free tier, a 10% application fee applies to payments processed through the platform.

Can I cancel or change tier at any time?

Yes. No annual lock-in, no setup fee, no per-student charges. Move tier any time. Cancel any time. Your data stays exportable regardless of tier.

What is the Founder Member programme?

The first 25 tutors who sign up at Premium receive 30% off for life. The discount stays with the account, not the tier. Once all 25 seats are claimed, the programme closes.

Is safeguarding included on the Free tier?

Yes. Safeguarding log, DBS reminders, KCSIE 2025 alignment and AADC defaults are included at every tier, including Free. We do not gate child safety behind a paywall.

How do payments work for parents?

Families pay you directly to your bank account. On paid tiers, your name appears on the family's bank statement, not ours. You can also bring your own invoicing on Free and the 10% commission never applies.

What is the difference between Professional and Professional+?

Professional is for solo tutors who want a branded parent portal and multi-subject coverage merging. Professional+ adds multi-tutor agency tools: roster management, DBS expiry dashboard, pipeline CRM, cover system and SCR exports for school procurement.

Yes. Professional+ carries tiered volume pricing: 1–20 seats at £229/seat, 21–50 seats at £199/seat, 51+ seats at £169/seat.
